Participants at this 26 March workshop, representing the entire value chain (producers, harvesters, processors, clusters, technical centres, etc.), focused on four key themes:

  • Regulatory barriers;
  • Technical challenges (two aspects: Production/Harvesting & Processing);
  • Business models and access to market;
  • The environmental approach.

In addition to the workshop sessions, the programme also featured several presentations:

  • Biotech Santé Bretagne and the Biochains Atlantic project were presented by the Biotech Santé Bretagne team.
  • Cluster Algues Bretagne was presented by Caroline Peltier, and Chambre Syndicale des Algues et Végétaux Marins by Eric Guivarch.
  • The national roadmap for the development of algae value chains was presented by Yas Farjad and Jean Piot (La direction générale des affaires maritimes, de la pêche et de l’aquaculture (DGAMPA)
  • The Feel Alg’ project was presented by Blanche Lorry (Comité National Des Pêches Maritimes et des Élevages Marins (CNPMEM))
